I find myself more and more comfortable with the idea of becoming nomadic, knowing that my home will be wherever I am happy. However there is a lot to say about having a stable home. Late in his life my grandfather spent a majority of his time paying off the home you see in the background and making it a place for his children and his children’s children to grow and play in. After my accident I was left without a car but my grandpa left me his Kia before he passed. He barely used his car and kept it in prime working condition, perhaps knowing that one day he would leave it someone who needed it next. Who knows where I would be if he hadn’t put so much forethought into helping secure his family’s future here in America.

I’m always attracted to the reflections given off from the windows of my vehicle, especially the way these tall trees seem to border my home. This is a view of my current state of being, my home and also my office wrapped into one.

I woke up this morning to my cat Wednesday presenting me with this gift. At first glance I thought she killed the bird but as soon as Wednesday found herself distracted this one made its quick escape and flew away.

Highway 247, Lucerne Valley, California

Went out to Lucerne Valley for a simple road closure assignment on Highway 247. I had no clue this was the highway you take to head out towards Joshua Tree National Park. Good to know for next time. Found these beautiful yellow flowers blossoming along the road and of course had to stop to take in the breathtaking view. My brother came along this time so I got a nice silhouette of him to capture the time and place.

Juggers of the Wasteland at George Air Force Base in Victorville, California

The game of Jugger is directly inspired by the movie The Blood of Heroes  and played with a foamed shaped dog skull as the ball. Players are suited in post apocalyptic attire and actual gear, wield weapons, and assume various roles. The game itself is a very real contact sport but mixes some theatrics like in wrestling.
